This pillar is considered a scientific methodological process that aims to examine, analyze, understand, evaluate the civilizational intellectual production of the nation through its different ages, not as a rigid historical stock but as a living entity where multiple fields of knowledge intersect in its formation and study, including:

1.      Cultural and material heritage: (architecture, arts, manuscripts)

2.      Intangible heritage (folk literature/ customs / dialects)

3.      Study of text: (religious, historical, literature and its sciences, and education and its sciences) study (descriptive, analytical, critical, interpretive, applied)

1.      Theories and applications of library and information science.

2.      Digital transformation of libraries

3.      Information services for users.

4.      The management of information institutions.

Third: the scope of contemporary thought axis

This axis is concerned with analytical critical studies, which explain the ideas, doctrines, and intellectual currents, and trace their direct and implicit effects on the social, cultural, behavioral structures of human society.

"And it is not limited to presenting these ideas only, but also to dismantling them and analyzing their roots and the mechanisms of their spread and their field manifestations in reality, while drawing attention, in light of those foundations, to the two fields of the production of knowledge and its circulation: heritage and libraries, and this scope focuses on the following detailed axes."
