The vision of the Syrian National Library Journal and it is purpose:

The Syrian National Library Journal (Heritage/ Libraries/ contemporary thought) is launched from the heart of the capital, Damascus, adopting its symbolic and procedural headquarters as a high-level scientific platform through which it aims at providing serious scientific contributions that advance research practices in the fields of knowledge related to heritage, library science, and contemporary intellectual transformations, the journal places at the core of its interests the enhancement of dialogue between authenticity and modernity, and its vision is inspired by the national and scientific mission undertaken by the National Library in Damascus.

The journal seeks to be an intellectual and developmental extension of the library's mission. Its content is not limited to the study of the National Library's collections; it also opens its doors wide to original and innovative research from various parts of the world that falls within the scope of its stated specializations on the journal's website, welcoming all strong scientific study. 

With this comprehensive and integrative understanding, the journal aims to create a dynamic intellectual dialogue that connects the treasures of the past with the issues of the present, and connects institutions that preserve memory (such as libraries) with the minds that produce knowledge (such as researchers). in an effort to enrich the Arab intellectual scene and to spark profound intellectual dialogues that emerge from our heritage and open up to our era.

Open Access Policy at the Syrian National Library Journal.

The Syrian National Library Journal (Heritage/Libraries/Contemporary Thought) adheres to the principle of open access to knowledge.

It publishes original research and makes all its content fully and freely available to readers on its website without any financial barriers.

The journal receives strong scientific contributions in Arabic.

The journal requires that all submitted materials are characterized by strong scientific methodology and contribute a real addition to knowledge in their core disciplines. It welcomes contributions from researchers from:

· Syrian, Arab, and international universities and academic and research institutions.

· Specialized researchers from various parts of the world

Through this policy, the journal aims to generalize the benefit and to build a strong bridge between original intellectual production and the interested audience, in service of scientific research and the development of human knowledge.

Intellectual Property Rights and Licensing.

The Authors keep the moral rights to their works, and they grant the Syrian National Library Journal the right of first publication, while transferring the rights of exploitation and dissemination of the journal

The journal allows users to share the work (copy, distribute, and exchange it) and to build derivative works from it, on the condition of: scholarly attribution, by clearly indicating of the author(s) name(s), and mentioning the "Syrian National Library Journal" as the original source of publication.

· Authors have the right to include a copy of their published article in their academic institution's archives, or on their personal or professional websites, with the mandatory full indication

of the original publication in the "Syrian National Library Journal," including the volume number, issue numbers, and the official article link.

· Authors have the right to reuse parts of their work or its data in books, lectures, or subsequent research without the need for additional permission.
