Editorial:
 Introduction to the First Issue: A Platform for Thought in the Presence of a Free Syria
that stir within our hearts, and in the midst of the victory that has finally dawned upon the land of Syria after a long and arduous night, we today open the pages of the first issue of the Syrian National Library Journal.

With this publication, we are not presenting a monotonous academic tradition, but rather heralding a rebirth of free thought in a nation that has regained its vitality and restored its splendour.

To the pioneers of thought, the researchers, and the academics, both within the homeland and  abroad...

To those whom the darkness of the siege only increased in enlightenment, and whose voices the soldiers of tyranny could not silence; we extend to you our highest expressions of pride, and say: Welcome to the realm of Syrian knowledge, which rises today from the ashes of dark times, defying oblivion.

This issue is not merely another addition to the record of peer-reviewed scholarly publications; rather, it is a new intellectual birth from the heart of our esteemed institution, the National Library, the faithful guardian of the nation's memory and the custodian of its civilization.

From this perspective, we wanted this journal—as the first scholarly endeavor under the Library's auspices—as a vital bridge transforming this edifice from a silent repository of heritage into a vibrant and active entity. It aims to enrich the present with the essence of the past and nurture the seeds of academic creativity with responsibility and competence.

It is hardly surprising that the National Library, in the wake of its glorious liberation, should serve as a nurturing ground for minds and a haven for ideas.

. Therefore, it was incumbent upon us to establish a platform through which the voice of Syrian researchers resonates in international forums, elevating the status of peer-reviewed intellectual output and bridging the gap between heritage issues, library science.
 In this inaugural issue, we have strived for a broad perspective and diverse viewpoints, reflecting our vision in the field of:

Heritage as authenticity.

Libraries as trustworthy repositories.

Within its pages, the tools of the modern age intertwine with the fragrance of our heritage, creating a comprehensive intellectual landscape where the ancient is inseparable from the novel, the traditional from the innovative.

As I bring this editorial to a close, I cannot help but express my deepest gratitude to all those who supported this initiative and lit its first flame:

To the Director of the Syrian National Library, who believed in the vision and proved to be an invaluable support and guide.

To the members of the editorial board, who faithfully shouldered the responsibility, transforming the dream into a tangible reality.

To the esteemed review committee, which established the foundations of scientific integrity through a system of anonymization, safeguarding the scientific integrity of the research and the researchers.

To the journal's secretary, the unsung hero who has devoted herself to bringing this work to fruition

To the technical and engineering team responsible for the journal's website. And to the esteemed researchers who enriched the paths of the new Syria with their intellect, and who were the light that illuminated our first issue.
